The 2019 Quiet Time Challenge

Honesty hour! I am now almost three months into being a mom to two babes, and I have a confession to make: my quiet times have been slipping.

I sat down at my now-inconsistent morning reading perch on Friday and was disappointed to see that the most recent date in my prayer journal was ten days earlier. I decided right then and there that I need to step up to the plate and, to get into a regular reading habit again, I need accountability.

And then I figured if I was struggling to fit in my quiet time, you might be too. (Please tell me I’m not alone! 🙋🏽‍♀️) So I thought, “Why not do it together?” And since March is only days away, it’s the perfect time to start a new 30-Day Quiet Time Challenge! (Well, in this case, it would be 31 days to cover the entire month of March.)

Are you up for the challenge? If so, I’d love to have you join me! And the best part? I have a brand new copy of Search the Scriptures (my most favorite quiet time resource ever) sitting on my desk that will go to one of you who accept and complete the challenge with me! 🙌🏾🎉

Are you brand new to the 30-Day Quiet Time Challenge? Great! I have a daily devotional that’s all written out for you and ready to go starting on Thursday. (Click here for more information!)

Have you already done the Quiet Time Challenge before, but still want to participate? The more, the merrier! Click here to accept the challenge and receive some accountability emails throughout the month to make sure you’re still on track!

I can’t wait to get back into a regular Bible-reading habit with you! See you on Thursday!

When sharing our story, I’m incredibly cautious to not promise something to women that God has not specifically promised them Himself. (After losing my best friend to cancer, I’m very well aware of the stories in which God chooses not to perform the miracle inside of your body.)

So I was really unsure of what part of our story to lean into last weekend as I prepared to speak at @hannah.g.barnett. When I asked, I felt God keep saying “I’ll tell you when you get there.” Okay, God. That’s kind of a lot.

And then I met a woman inside the museum of Elvis Presley’s birthplace. And God reminded me again that, whether or not He chooses to perform that miracle inside of your body, just believing He CAN do the impossible is enough.
