I’ve hitched my train to the amazing wisdom of so many Bible teachers and have spent the last decade engulfed in Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, Kelly Minter, Karen Kingsbury, Max Lucado, She Reads Truth, and so many others. Lately though, I’ve wanted more. I’ve wanted to delve in myself and dive into the richness of God’s Word without the assistance of someone who wrote a study for me. And then I met Jane. The way she explained her process erased the daunting, overwhelmed feeling of not knowing where to start. I took to heart all she said and after getting home, began to dive in. And studying became (gasp!) FUN again! If you’re wanting to take your Quiet Time to the next level or have a deep desire to study but are so overwhelmed by the idea on HOW on earth to do it, I really…reeeeaaaaaally encourage you to download these ebooks! It’s breathed new life into my studies in the most exciting way! – Teresa Anderson
Learning to study the Bible through Jane Johnson was, hands down, the game changer for my faith. Jane has a contagious passion for the Word of God and she digs down deep to explain it in a way that is both powerful and engaging. I used to think the Bible was stale. I thought there was no way I would be the type of person capable of studying for more than an hour in the pages. Because of Jane’s guidance, I am in the Word for nearly two hours every morning and I crave time with God the second I step away from the page. My walk with God has completely shifted and turned a new page. God is using Jane to bring up believers who don’t just talk with faith– they are well-versed in the scripture and equipped to use it in everyday life, trials and breakthroughs. It’s for certain: Jane is a powerhouse and it’s a privilege for anyone to be able to learn under her. – Hannah Brencher
This. We need a lot more of this, in churches, in homes. Women digging deep, teaching other women how to really delve into the richness of scripture. – Laura Yang

This prayer has been repeated on my lips since I first read the words yesterday morning. They were tucked up in the Passion Translation’s version of Psalm 17:7.

“Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand,” David wrote. “Magnify the marvels of Your mercy to all who seek You. Show me Your unfailing love in wonderful ways. Paint grace-graffiti on the fences. Display the wonders of Your faithful love.” (NJKV - TPT - NLT - MSG - CSB)

God, magnify the marvels of Your mercy to me today.
It’s hard for me to believe that it’s already been ten years since I first wrote 25 Days of Advent.
When I did, Josh and I were living in a 500-square-foot cottage on Maui, nearly ten years into our wait for a family. We had NO idea that, three months later, we would get the surprise of our lives.
So, December 2nd’s essay is extra special for me. Swipe through the slides and you’ll see why.

I’m neck-deep in polishing up the first finished draft of my second manuscript. It’s a commentary through the books of Ezra, Esther, and Nehemiah (slated for an early 2027 release) and, since I’m leaning in to Jesus’ second coming this Advent, this snippet from my commentary on Nehemiah 4 begged to be shared.

(Let alone the fact that the words that I first wrote two years ago are circling back around and preaching right to my own heart this morning.)

Also, I juts got edits back from my first manuscript (did I mention I have TWO BOOKS coming out in the next year or so??) so I’m buried in writing and editing for the next few weeks and would love your prayer as I fight for every word!
