Grace so Glorious

I’m doing something new today.  Something I’ve thought about for a couple of weeks.  Something that pushes you straight back to Him.  Because, after all, that’s the whole point of everything that I share with you, isn’t it?

There is one thing that happens every single time I speak:

My message ends with worship

Sometimes one song.  Usually three.  But it’s the only way I can think of to reconcile the holy tension of having a story to tell, and having to stand in the spotlight to tell it.  Because when you leave that room, I want you thinking first about Him.  And then about the words He spoke through me.

Because the heart of it all, and the heart of all this?  It’s best summed up in these words by John Henry Jowett:

[Tweet “Praise is really the most vital preparatory ministry to the working of miracles.”]

In an effort to continue that trend off of the stage, I am going to be doing that here.  Once a week.  Posting links to worship that rocks me to my core.  What are the worship songs that get you every time?  Leave a link in the comments – I’d love to give them a listen!

The question of how to recognize God’s voice speaking in your life is a tricky one to answer.

This is the very best way I can describe it for me. What does it feel like for you?

Listen to this entire conversation on the @flourish.motherhood podcast!
When sharing our story, I’m incredibly cautious to not promise something to women that God has not specifically promised them Himself. (After losing my best friend to cancer, I’m very well aware of the stories in which God chooses not to perform the miracle inside of your body.)

So I was really unsure of what part of our story to lean into last weekend as I prepared to speak at @hannah.g.barnett. When I asked, I felt God keep saying “I’ll tell you when you get there.” Okay, God. That’s kind of a lot.

And then I met a woman inside the museum of Elvis Presley’s birthplace. And God reminded me again that, whether or not He chooses to perform that miracle inside of your body, just believing He CAN do the impossible is enough.
