I’ve had a fire in my belly for two weeks now. But I’ve been sitting on my words. Because, to be honest, I’m pretty battle-weary. My three-year-old and I battled a couple of nights ago – a war of will and lay-down-and-sleep at 1:30 in the morning – and I feel the aftermath in every...
Thank you for putting into words so many of the thoughts I’ve been thinking and emotions I’ve been feeling. ♡ I had chills reading this, from the existence of the evil in the world, but more at the reminder of the incredible power and strength of God in fighting for those He loves. This will be in my heart always: fight fire with fire.
Thank you for putting to words what God has put on your heart. Thank you for sharing this prayer and giving me something I can do and pray right now to start giving these children a voice. Thank you for not being quiet.
Amen!!!!! So beautifully and fiercely said!!!!
Praying! Declaring! Fighting with tongues of fire!
Years ago our Sunday School teacher at that time, was talking about how insidious sin is, and how it creeps into our society little by little until it is commonplace and accepted. He said, “Mark my words – the next big push will be normalizing pedophilia and child pornography.” We all shouted “NO WAY!” and yet here we are. Jeffery Epstein. Ghislaine Maxwell. satan is infinitely patient and sneaky. he waits and wears us down and then he strikes. When firefighters are combatting huge fires, they build fires in front of them to stop them. Lord Jesus, strain our words and set us on fire for these children. Amen and amen.
I am sitting here with tears now rolling down my face. This issue has just come to my attention just this week. And I have prayed for the Lord to lay waste to the perpetrators and rescue those sweet children. Your prayer is eloquent and amazing. Preach, sister, preach.
Jane… especially coming from someone [me] that struggles forming words & thoughts into prayer… this is beautiful. Thank you for your bravery and raw honesty in sharing. I have borrowed and will continue to borrow your prayer-fire. Thank you.
Yes, Jane, YES!!! you’re on the right track here…I’ve been amazed for about 7 years now about how little the world knows about the FACT that there are more slaves TODAY in this world than IN ANY OTHER TIME IN HISTORY!!! yes ..you’ve read that right…and most are children and women sold into the sex trade of which amercan males are the biggest consumer by far of any other group…I have 4 children who are in law enforcement so I can back this up with my own research and support of the A21 campaign ( Christine and Nick Caine) as well as what they’ve confirmed from their training and classes!! You go girl!!! Use your voice!!! I, for the life of me, cannot understand our current culture of whining when there are SO MANY PEOPLE STILL IN SLAVERY TODAY!!!!! The absolute atracities done to children is hideous and all for the sick sexual appetites that Satan continues to deal in….Lord Jesus help us…help us speak for these babies!!!
Amen! Thank you for speaking where others may not know how to on this subject. Thank you for this prayer that will Echo in the spirit realm. Amen and amen …
Thank you for being bold and broken. I stand in prayer with you!
Amen!!! Thank you, Lord for pouring words of conviction out of Jane’s mouth! Thank you for using her to WAKE us up to PRAY and FIGHT “fire with fire”!! I will be sharing this post with others.
Praying and weeping with you. Will continue to pray this bold and specific prayer. I can feel the Spirit moving! Thank you, thank you for helping us fight fire with fire and giving words to so much of what my heart has been feeling.
I met two women in the line for a coffee in Seaside Florida 3 years ago. An octogenarian and a twenty-something. We struck up a conversation that turned into a gripping tale of rescue some 10 years earlier. The younger was a waitress in a nice restaurant and the older (wiser) noticed something very subtle. As she was paying her bill, the older took a risk and said to the younger , “ I think I know what’s going on here. You can walk out with me right now and I will protect you and help you.” It was the end of a nightmare. They had returned to celebrate the victory on the 10 year anniversary of the fated encounter. She noticed. She took a risk. And a life was redeemed.
Oh Jane. I sit here weeping, ugly-crying to be more accurate. As a survivor of horrendous child abuse (including video taping) I just want to say “thank you”. I may not have been sold into slavery (praise Jesus), but did experience sexual abuse as a wee babe (3-5 years old). My heart shatters, completely falls to pieces, for these sweet babes who are in much, much worse conditions and worse circumstances knowing what my own experience did to me.
Keep fighting, Jane. Don’t be silent.
You are spot on when you say these little ones don’t have a voice. We need to be a voice for the voiceless. They need to know God hears them. God sees them. And he’s not sitting idly by. But WE need to not sit idly by if we are to be the hands and feet.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness as not overcome it” John 1:5. Satan would love for this to remain in the dark. Your words are shinning light into that dark place.
“Remember the word that I said to you: ‘ A servant is not greater than his master’. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.” John 15:20
I would quote all of John 3 here, but it would fill the comment section. Please reference it. “Do not be surprised, brothers, that the world hates you.” John 3:13
“‘If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you….'” John 15:18
Don’t give up. These littles need your voice.
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
Praying with you.
Powerful!!! Thank you for speaking up, for sharing so vividly that we Can do something, even in our little corners of the world.
